Terms of Use

Last updated: 20 July 2026

By using Plantannia you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. We're based in the United Kingdom.

⚠️ Care advice is guidance, not gospel

Plant identifications, care tips and answers — including AI-generated ones — can be wrong. Always double-check anything important, and never rely on Plantannia to judge whether a plant is safe to eat or non-toxic to people or pets. When in doubt, consult a professional.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Give us accurate information, and let us know if you spot unauthorised use.

Acceptable use

Use Plantannia for your own gardening. Don't misuse it — no attempts to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, upload unlawful content, or infringe others' rights.

AI and identification features

Plant identification, garden analysis and the "Ask Plantannia" assistant use AI and third-party data. They're helpful but imperfect, and results are provided "as is" without guarantee of accuracy. See the disclaimer above.

Availability

We aim to keep Plantannia running smoothly but can't promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features at any time.

Third-party links

Some pages link to third parties (for example, product searches on Amazon UK). We may earn a small affiliate commission at no extra cost to you. We're not responsible for third-party sites or their content.

Our content

The Plantannia name, design and original content belong to us. Plant photos and data are provided by third parties such as iNaturalist under their own licences. You keep ownership of the content you add.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Plantannia isn't liable for any loss arising from your use of the service — including plant loss or damage from following its advice. Nothing here limits liability that can't be excluded under law.

Ending your use

You can stop using Plantannia and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of its courts.
